Job description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
Oversee the Construction, (fabrication, Installation and pre-commissioning) of the site works for the OUR (Obite/Ubeta/ Rumugi) project.
Support the OUR PHC, Site Superintendent and the Head of QC in the delivery of Quality and integrity management for the project in Nigeria.
Oversee EPCSS CONTRACTOR during all Construction, (fabrication, Installation and pre-commissioning) activities in Nigeria
Mentor National QC personnel, Inspectors and specialists in specific tasks during the Construction, fabrication, Installation and pre-commissioning) activities.
MAIN ACTIVITIES :
Ensure that all equipment/plant arriving at site is in “as shipped condition” and in good working order
Monitor compliance to CONTRACTOR Inspection and Test Plans ITP(s)
Suervise CONTRACTOR qualification tests (WPQT, WPS, NDT etc)
Supervise and co-ordinate COMPANY Hold/ Monitor/Witness inspection activities
Review Quality Record Books
Review compilation of all Quality and Inspection Records submitted by CONTRACTOR
Assist the Head of QC in the Preparation of COMPANY final dossier for hand over to the Operations Group
OTHER ACTIVITIES :
Attend site meetings as required.
Liaise with other disciplines for QC and Inspection matters on site(s)
Evaluate EPCSS Contractors QC team performance on site(s) and report same to Head of QC
Provide QC and Inspection input as required
Promote a culture of Safety first and Environmental Awareness
Job requirements
A proven experience as a Team leader specifically in Inspection disciplines.
Minimum of 5 years as a either QC team leader Snr Discipline on Oil & Gas plant construction
Qualifications in welding inspection, coating, painting, UT, MPI and DP will be considered a plus.
Minimum of 10 years experience in Oil & Gas Plant construction or upgrade operations.
Extensive experience of piping, welding, hydrostatic testing and pre- commissioning processes required.
Good knowledge of Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and rotating equipment required
Fluent in English.
