The Job:
The appointee will be required to co-ordinate project department’s data information, management and reporting systems including all governance reviews and approval stages and aspects of the whole portfolio of projects. He/She will establish, manage and maintain the project databases and other dedicated activities required for the realization of good project controls and administration.

He/She will review and report on project capital expenditure performance of engineering/construction contractor and project management teams.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Maintain up to date portfolio database for all current and future project and manage activities from initiation to completion.
• Develop baseline plans for portfolio projects with the project engineers as well as monitor, track and report actual progress vis avis planned/completion dates.
• Perform quality compliance checks on management of change i.e. Project Management & Simple Engineering Change processes and prepare report to ensure that they meet the requirements prescribed in the management of change procedures
• Produce monthly project reports for the Production Division and maintain key performances indicators (KPls) for the project engineering group
• Prepare yearly budget with 5 years’ look ahead and revise the budget in line with management cap and conduct quarterly budget phasing review

The Person:
The right candidate should:
• Possess a B. Eng in Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering, obtained at a minimum of 2nd Class Upper Division.
• Have between 3-5 years’ post graduation working experience in a reputable organisation
• Be professional and disciplined, possessing good planning, computing and organizational skills
• Not be more than 35 years.

Job description
The Technical Executive’s role is responsible and accountable for the following areas:
  • Establish detailed construction drawing sets for project proposals to confirm to client on their needs.
  • Co-ordinate customer site visits with the sales team to provide technical support for their presentations and proposals for clients they identify.
  • Correspond with local and federal government authorities for necessary approvals and permits required to undertake the project.
  • Draft post-construction project commissioning procedures and render aid in project commissioning.

Responsibilities
  • He will be responsible for the construction and installation of active systems, which require solar collectors, concentrators, pumps and fans
  • Responsible for designs and recommendations on power specifications.
  • Installation of passive systems, with the best use of windows and insulation to absorb and reflect solar radiation for heating and cooling purposes
  • Building solar energy systems that use mirrors to absorb and convert the sun’s radiation into heat energy
  • Design apparatus for  fluid circulation among mirrors collecting the heat from the sun
  • Design of heat transfer systems from sun to a central boiler or steam turbine, to generate electricity
  • Experience in usage of all technical equipments for each project and determining what volume per scale of project
  • Co-ordinate and ensure safety of all technical staff involved in every project.
  • Provide support to sales team in managing specific client needs and requests.
Qualifications and experience
  • Must have a Degree in Electronic Engineering with civil engineering as an elective subject with at least 5-10 years experience solar power site evaluation.
  • Must have knowledge of developing solar power schematics, knowledge of layout and design tools used in solar power projects design.
  • Must possess the ability to draft, read plans and provide solar power design.
  • Must have sound knowledge in large scale solar power electronics and electrical power systems design.
  • Must have ability to implement electrical, mechanical, structural and civil engineering.
  • Must have absolute ability to read, understand and edit electrical and structural plans.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Fluent in spoken English and adept at written skills in English. Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage.
  • Ideally, exposure of working within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Must be able to work under pressure within stipulated time lines.
  • In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must have strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and at the same time be able to work as a team-player.
  • Must be able to multi-task with concentration and be able to pay close attention to detail.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Preparing workshop drawings for the following extra-low voltage system: Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, BMS, Instruction (Burglar) alarm, Public Address system, CATV
Preparing Material submissions for the above mentioned systems
Drawing quantities from drawings and preparing bill of quantities
Documentation tracking and updating

Coordinating LEV design issues within the Electrical and Mechanical Departments and the site teams
Pricing Bill of quantities according to a price data base

REQUIREMENT
At least three (3) years experience in the field of Extra- Low Voltage Systems (installations, maintenance and design) with good theoretical knowledge of the above
mentioned systems
Experience in working with drawings – fair knowledge of reading drawings, understanding the design and extracting quantities
Engineering/Construction education
Written and Oral English is a must
Knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel)

AED has been awarded the USAID-funded Malaria Action Program for States (MAPS) project designed to support the Nigeria National Malaria Strategic Plan and National MAlaria Control Program (NMCP). The project will increase the quality, access, and uptake of specific malaria control interventions, including insecticide-treated nets (ITNs), artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs), expanded use of rapid diagnostic tests (RDs), and delivery of intermittent preventive treatment (IPTp) to pregnant women.
AED Nigeria is currently recruiting candidates to fill a number of exciting positions with the Malaria Action Program for States (MAPS) Project in Abuja as well as state offices in Zamfara, Cross River, and Nassarawa. Available positions include:
Receptionist
The Receptionist will represent the outward face of the office to visitors and will assist with administrative and logistical assignments, including answering phones, taking messages, helping with travel coordination, and photocopying. The receptionist will encourage a safe, secure, and hygienic working environment.
Experience
  1. Minimum education level of OND or a Diploma or its equivalent preferred.
  2. Minimum of two years working in or around an office setting.
Specific Knowledge Requirements
  1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (ie, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  2. Strong written and oral skills in English.
  3. Ability to multi-task and assist with a wide range of tasks.
  4. A positive, customer-service oriented attitude toward co-workers and especially guests to the office.
  5. Excellent organizational skills.
  6. Ability to work on tasks independently or with minimal supervision.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Office Correspondence
    - Send and receive telephone calls and messages and communicate such messages to MAPS staff.
    - Sort all the incoming and outgoing mail and prioritize the urgency of all such contents.
    - Label all mail as received according to the date of receipt.
    - Help with the filing.
    - Manage official services, such as answering the phone; recording messages; take minutes of meetings; receive visitors; type, proof-read, review, correct, and print documents; and prepare fax and e-mail messages.
  2. Visitors and Personnel
    - Employing a professional and courteous attitude, receive and attend to visitors to the MAPS office and ensure that all such visitors abide by the necessary appointment arrangements; report any threatening guests immediately to supervisor.
    - Prepare tea/coffee when needed and oversee arrangements for officer catering, planned lunches, etc.
    - Assist with travel logistics (including hotel reservations, booking airfare, and arranging local travel and transport) for staff, consultants, visitors from AED HQ, and others.
    - Arrange meeting and workshop logistics as necessary.
  3. Office Management
    - Ensure the safety of office equipment and supplies in the absence of other field staff.
    - Provide back-up support for all MAPS staff away from office on official duty by receiving messages from cooperating partners and communicating such messages in a timely and appropriate fashion.
    - Assist with inventory tracking as necessary.
  4. Working Environment
    - Ensure a safe and clean working environment (ie, bathroom, common areas) for all staff through appropriate reporting of issues observed to maintenance or utility personnel.
    - Brief supervisor regularly on matters related to the safety of the working environment and problems encountered and alert him/her to matters that may require his/her attention.
  5. Perform other functions as requested.

RTI International is seeking qualified applicants for the following positions to support an upcoming HIV prevention project targeting most-at-risk populations (MARPs) and Highly-vulnerable populations in Nigeria. The project will build on prevention tools and approaches that have been developed and implemented in Nigeria and will support mass media, community mobilization and interpersonal communications. The target groups for this project will include: female sex workers and their clients and to a lesser extent men having sex with men (MSM) and injecting drug users (IDU).
•    CHIEF OF PARTY – Applicants must have an advanced degree in public health, medicine, or other relevant field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience implementing HIV/AIDS programs in Africa, preferably in Nigeria. Technical expertise in HIV/AIDS prevention for general and special populations (such as MARPs); demonstrated success managing and leading technical and administrative teams for USG funded health projects as COP/Project Director; and proven ability to negotiate and influence policy decisions and build consensus across diverse set of stakeholders.
•    HIV PREVENTION TECHNICAL LEAD – Applicants must have an advanced degree in public health, medicine or related field and a minimum of 9 years of experience working on HIV prevention in Nigeria. Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance on HIV prevention, care, and treatment for at-risk populations and MARPs. Must have a firm command of behavioral prevention, clinical health systems, policy, and other issues related to targeted interventions for HIV service delivery for MARPs.
•    POLICY AND ADVOCACY TECHNICAL LEAD – Candidates must have an advanced degree in public health, medicine, public administration, or related and a minimum of 9 years’ experience working in policy and advocacy related to HIV prevention programming in Nigeria, including experience addressing stigma and discrimination for at-risk populations and MARPs. Demonstrated skills and experience strengthening links between national, district, and community-level stakeholders to better integrate policy analysis and ensure sustainable and effective service delivery to at-risk populations and/or MARPs.
